Terms and Conditions

 

Bookings, Payments and Refunds

 

  • Slots for custom items can be booked via my shop. Once you have booked your slot and paid your deposit please contact me via my facebook page, instagram or email within three working days to discuss the design of your costume. If I feel that your design is not something I can do for you, I will offer a full refund of your deposit.

  • If you have not contacted me within three working days, a £20 surcharge will be added to the order. 

  • If I have not had any communication within 7 days of booking, your deposit will be refunded and your slot released.

  •  Orders are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis and demand is high. Once all slots are fully booked, our order books will be closed until our next slot release. This will be announced on our Facebook Page and Instagram.

  • Once you have booked and paid for your slot and contacted me to discuss the design of your custom item,  I will send you an invoice for the final balance. Please have a look at my price guide before committing to ordering a custom item. 

  • Deposits are taken on my online shop, and final payments can be made via Bank Transfer or Paypal. 

  • The deposit must be paid in full for order to be accepted

  • Deposit is non-refundable once fabrics have been purchased.

  • Final payment is due before postage or collection. Once the costume is complete, I will contact you to arrange final payment.

  • In the case of no response, or non-payment within 30 days of completion, the costume may be sold on to another buyer, and the deposit may not be refunded.

  • Postage costs vary – I will do my best to keep these as low as possible, but large or heavy items may cost more. Please see my delivery and returns policy.

  • Refunds of final payment will only be made within 14 days of postage, and only if a reasonable fault can be found. No refunds will be made for change of mind or sizing issues due to growth. 

 

Measurements and Sizing

  • Costumes will be made to the measurements supplied. Needle en Pointe take no responsibility for incorrect measurements. Please check my measurement guide before measuring your dancer.

 

Alterations

  • Alterations will only be made to costumes made by Needle en Pointe.

  • Alterations due to poor fitting will be offered for free in the first 28 days after receiving your item. 

  • Alterations after the first 28 days will be charged at £15 per hour. 

  • Alterations with less than 21 days notice before a performance will be charged at £25 an hour. This is to incorporate the additional work on top of my workload at the time. 

  • If a costume needs an alteration due to incorrect measurements at booking, there will be a charge of £15 per hour (or £25 if less than 21 days notice is given.)

  • Please note some alterations may not be possible if a dancer has grown or changed size considerably.

 

Delivery and Shipping

  • Tutus will be sent with Parcelforce - this is either a 24hr service (for child size tutus) or a 48hr service for larger tutus. Tutus will be posted Monday to Thursday only. 

  • Tiaras, bun rings and smaller costumes will be sent by Royal Mail 1st class. Other couriers can be requested at the buyers expense.

  • International orders - I am currently in the process of sourcing a reliable courier, so the option for international shipping is not available yet on my website. However this can be arranged via email at needleenpointe@hotmail.com

  • Please note there may be import duties and taxes payable by the customer on international purchases. The amount due is calculated by your home country and will be notified to you by the chosen courier. These charges are not under our control.

 

Returns 

  • Returns of ready to wear items due incorrect sizing will not be accepted. Please check all measurements prior to purchasing. Returns for faulty items will be accepted within 30 days of purchase. They must be unworn with tag attached and in a clean and re-saleable condition. 

  •  

    Custom items cannot be returned unless faulty.

  • Returns must be free of makeup, deodorant, perfume, fake tan or pet hairs and must be in their original condition.​

  • We do not cover postage for returns unfortunately, but will be happy to give you guidance on how to send them. We cannot refund items lost in return transit, so please make sure they are insured.
